Addressing Environmental Protection Supplier Selection Issues in a Fuzzy Information Environment Using a Novel Soft Fuzzy AHP–TOPSIS Method

With the current heightened promotion of environmental awareness, issues related to protection have become a critical component economic development. The emergence new environment-friendly materials and simple packaging, other awareness demands in recent years, prompted manufacturers pay more attention planning greener production supply processes than before. Many scholars been urged investigate sustainable economy green suppliers. However, many factors needed be considered, such as price, cost, benefit, reputation, quality involved process supplier selection. These require quantitative qualitative analysis information, making issue multi-criteria decision (MDCM) problem. Traditional research methods are unable effectively objectively handle MCDM problem selection due problem’s complexity method’s inclination towards biased conclusions. To resolve complicated selection, this study combined fuzzy analytic hierarchy (AHP), technique for order preference by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS), 2-tuple linguistic model (2-tuple FLM) corrected ranking possible computation results were also compared with typical TOPSIS AHP–TOPSIS methods. Through numerical verification actual case supplier, test suggested that proposed method could perform an objective evaluation expert-provided information while retaining all their valuable insights.
